(Dogs allowed for an additional $300/dog nonrefundable pet fee.) Revel in A Soft Landing's warm breezes, listening to the sounds of the waves and soaking in unobstructed ocean views. The sun worshippers in your group will be in heaven on the expansive second-story deck that runs the length of the house. Under this area are both a covered porch (perfect for rocking or napping) and a screened porch. Inside, the light-filled, two-story sitting area is accentuated by soaring ceilings and warm hardwoods.

Nearby, the open floorplan's dining area comfortably seats eight at its table and is adjacent to the breakfast bar. Just beyond, the chef's kitchen cooks with stainless appliances, plenty of counter prep space, a farm sink and a wine cooler. It even boasts water views on two sides! The bright King Master suite, located on this level, features a four-poster King bed and private porch access as well as an unbeatable view of the Atlantic. The private full bath affords a deep, jetted sunken Jacuzzi and a spacious tiled shower with bench seating.

There are three additional bedrooms upstairs. One is a Queen suite with its own full bath, private sitting room and deck access. The second Queen bedroom also features private deck access. The final bedroom is furnished with two twin beds. The latter two bedrooms share a bath, conveniently located just across the hall. Additional amenities included are games, DVDs/ CDs / VHS movies, toys, a gas grill, an outdoor shower, boogie boards, beach chairs, adult bikes, internet access and WWP's 24/7 Property Manager Assistance Line-which means you can reach needed help even after hours or on weekends. A wonderful week at A Soft Landing - one we hope to repeat!

This was a our third summer in a row on the island and the best one yet - we loved A Soft Landing and found it to be very comfortable and well suited for our family. The back deck, beach access and screened in dining space were particular highlights... this is a special spot which we were grateful to call home!

Fabulous!

The house was a perfect fit for our group. We loved the private beach access, and the beach was just gorgeous. Plenty of shady outdoor seating, including a table where we ate every night. Two golf carts were extremely handy. We loved everything about it and have already booked again for next year.

A Soft Landing

We are longtime renters of “A Soft Landing.” It has been a while since we have rented it and the changes they have made are very nice. The interior has always been lovely, but the updated look is especially nice. It distinguishes itself by the lovely, professionally designed interior. The new golf carts are so very appreciated as well. Finally, I don’t know what is responsible for the better temperature in the primary bedroom, but sleeping there was so comfortable. The bedding and pillows were very comfortable. In fact, I slept better there than I do at home! Finally, this was the cleanest we have ever found the property. The cleaners did an excellent job.

What an Amazing View

The home is very inviting, and has some of the most incredible light and views, especially on the top deck. Love all of the natural light. The home is pretty well equipped with bikes, two golf carts, and very spacious bedrooms. So great to be able to walk out to the beach, straight from the back deck, The lounge chairs were a nice inviting, touch. TWe will definitely stay here again and we thank wwp for always making our stay special!

Such a great property

This is the second time we have stayed at "A Soft Landing." The location cannot be beat with the beach a short walk away. Gorgeous sunset views and a beautiful back porch and deck for lounging. Nicely appointed property , especially the deck furniture and screened in porch for dinners accompanied by the sound of the waves. All in all, we love this property and would rent it again and again.The bedrooms are perfect for a family or two and the beds and linens are all very nice.

5 star rental on BHI

We have vacationed on BHI for many years, and this is our favorite rental. In addition to a beautifully decorated home filled with the homeowner’s artwork, the location was outstanding and the home’s cleanliness exceeded our expectations. It is the little touches,however, that were just as impressive - from the filled rotating spice rack in the kitchen filled with every spice you could possibly need to the upstairs coffee station with a Keurig and a mini fridge so that you didn’t even need to come downstairs for your morning coffee, it was obvious that the homeowners put a lot of thought into making their home a special place. A 5 star rental for sure.

A Beautiful House with a View

We had a fabulous week!! Love being on the beach! There was a storm one evening and we sat on that wonderful porch and watched God show off for hours. It was amazing! The kitchen is well stocked and there is a huge kitchen table where we had wonderful meals at night. We had a few issues with the golf carts. Wendy Wilmots staff was very attentive and had it fixed promptly. The location of this house is great. It is on the middle of the island so accessing East beach, the market, and the ferry was very convenient. Overall, I highly recommend A Soft Landing!!

Bald Head Stay

We had a fantastic trip to Bald Head! The house was truly fantastic. It is well located on the island and beachfront with a beautiful view. Wendy Wilmont properties made the visit great. They were very responsive and accommodated an extension of our stay. Highly recommend them.

Fabulous house!

This is the ideal vacation rental on BHI. Perfect beach access and the abundance of outdoor seating and screened in area made this a perfect indoor/outdoor experience! Great bedrooms and kitchen. Nicely furnished. Floors were warped, but that didn't bother us at all! And with a 13 year old dog, having just a few steps in and out was perfect! We are previous BHI owners and frequent renters but this property tops list!

perfect for us

this house was ideal for our family - my husband and myself with our 3 children who are all in their 20's. there are comfortable indoor and outdoor living spaces for family togetherness with a bedroom layout that allows for private time too. the house is clean and well maintained with easy access to the beach, both clubs, and the market. we will return next year!

Family vacation at bald head

This wonderful home is on the water and has amazing unobstructed views of the ocean from almost every room. The spacious and shades back veranda served as a gathering space for our extended family at all times of the day. Every detail, inside and out, was well thought out. We will definitely return!

A Soft Landing

This was our 7th season on the Island. Still a special place. The house location is fantastic. The new oven and microwave are nice... The fact that the home has excellent wifi, and an added bonus of movie channels was a plus. Wendy and her team were very professional and responsive. Overall we really loved the location. Great view. Deck is a great place to hang out and the grill is brand new. So we would definitely rent it again.

Sunrises, sunsets, dolphins frolicking in the sea...what a perfect place to be! Three nights wasn't enough at A Soft Landing. The house is amazing and makes you feel comfortable and welcome. Renting through Wendy was a breeze and the staff is very friendly and helpful.
