Ferry Information
Tickets may be purchased online ahead of time or at the terminal window or Kiosk on a walk-up basis. It is highly encouraged to make ferry reservations ahead of time as space may be limited and those with reservations will board first - especially in the summer months and major holidays.
It is recommended that you pack as if you were traveling on an airplane. You'll be able to check luggage and carry-on bags similar to air travel.
Checked Baggage:
Drop off and pick up is located on the lower level of the Deep Point Marina on the mainland side and adjacent to the ferry dockage on the Island.
- Each bag must have a tag with a contact name and phone number prior to drop off.
- Each guest is allowed three checked bags. Additional bags will be subject to an excess baggage fee.
- Each bag must weigh less than 50 lbs, or be subject to an excess baggage fee.
- Loose items must be contained in a bag or plastic bin.
- Surfboards, kayaks and bikes may be checked and are subject to an oversized baggage fee.
Carry On:
- Bags the size of an airplane carry-on are allowed. Please limit your carry-on baggage.
Pets:
- WWP offers pet-friendly accommodations. Please filter for those options.
- Pets are allowed on the outside deck of the ferry, but are not allowed in the cabin.
Going to BHI: Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your reserved departure time. Upon arrival at Deep Point Marina, drop off all checked luggage and passengers at the ferry terminal. Onsite parking is available for a daily rate. Please allow ample time to find a parking space and return to the ferry terminal. After loading your luggage, proceed to the ferry terminal, purchase tickets if necessary and take your place in the designated line (Reservations or Standby) until time for boarding. NOTE: If you have made a ferry reservation, you MUST be in line no less than 15 minutes before your scheduled ferry departure, otherwise you may be directed to through the general boarding line.
Upon Arrival to BHI: If you made a tram reservation, follow the signs for tram assignments. Once you have given your tram assignment, pick up you luggage, gather your party, and go to the assigned tram for transportation to your rental home. If you rented a golf cart, first go pick up your golf cart, then pick up your luggage and proceed to your accommodations.
Returning from BHI: If you made a tram reservation, the tram will pick up and your luggage up at the rentals house 25-40 minutes prior to your ferry departure time. Upon arrival at the Island ferry terminal, you will check your luggage and board the ferry. If you rented a golf cart, drop off your luggage and other passengers at the ferry terminal 30-45 minutes before ferry departure time, then return the golf cart to the rental location.
Upon Arrival to Deep Point: Pick up your luggage and proceed to your car, as if returning from a flight.
