Charlene, WWP’s Head of Housekeeping, is a true southern belle who was born in Dosher Hospital in Southport and has remained local her entire life. After graduating from South Brunswick High, Charlene worked as a cook for seven years before transferring to the Bald Head Island Club. During her ten years there, she rose to become the Supervisor over Housekeeping. She joined WWP in 2011.
Charlene has been married to her husband, John, for 30 years. They have three children-- two sons and a daughter-- and two granddaughters, Jasmine and Laura. Besides spending time with them, Charlene loves fishing, horseback riding and reading.
Charlene first came to the Island over 25 years ago, but she says she is still amazed by the uniqueness of Bald Head. “You will never find anything like this anywhere else in the world,” she shares with a smile. (We believe she’s right!)
