Once Upon a Time, There Was a Man Who Loved an Island

Every tree. Every bird. Every puddle. On this island, he spent hours, exploring the banks of the lush salt Marsh, snapping photos of birds and wildlife or just lightheartedly roaming the forest. The more he saw, the more he fell in love. Then, in April 1978 he happened upon the chance to make it his own. That man is Charlie Young and Middle Island is his labor of love. With his own hands, Charlie has sculpted this land, carefully and gradually. Preserving trees and wildlife, creating structures that complement the terrain, executing his vision and commitment with nothing less than fatherly pride. Middle Island is a community dense with natural wonders, private, exclusive but closer to earth than anyplace else you’ve been.
