As I was coming back from The Office਍ഀ II in my golf cart sipping on my "sweet tea" J,  I noticed a couple riding their bikes.

They looked very happy. I thought to਍ഀ myself, "self" when is the last time you slowed downed and went਍ഀ for a bike ride?

BHI਍ഀ Oktoberfest Weekend

Tons of spooky fun and heart-pounding਍ഀ entertainment to be had on Bald Head Island this holiday weekend! On਍ഀ Friday, October 30, there will be an Oyster Roast at The Hammocks਍ഀ Clubhouse, along with a haunted hayride at the BHI Club.  The Shoals Club will also be ready with਍ഀ family fun from 2PM until 4PM hosting Fun Fall Decorations. Carve਍ഀ pumpkins and create Island fun fall t-shirts.

Make sure to be at the Harbourside Pavilion਍ഀ from 12PM – 3PM on Saturday, October 31, for the Oktoberfest celebration,਍ഀ featuring wine, food, kid’s games, live entertainment, and all of your਍ഀ German favorites! Take a ride with your favorite furry family member to਍ഀ Turtle Central for the BHI Conservancy Canine Competition between 10AM਍ഀ and 4PM. Photos will be taken of the costumed canines and each pup will਍ഀ be given a cookie treat for participation. Winners will be announced at਍ഀ 4:30PM (no need to be present to win). Grand Prize is a $100 gift਍ഀ certificate to Turtle Central. There are also prizes for first and second਍ഀ runners up.

Of course, no Halloween evening would be਍ഀ complete without an Island-wide Trick-or-Treat caravan. For maps of਍ഀ participating homes and businesses, please meet at the Harbourside਍ഀ Pavilion at 3PM. After you fill your bags with treats (or tricks!), meet਍ഀ at the Harbouside Pavilion by 5PM to participate in the Halloween Costume਍ഀ and House Decoration Contest.  Just਍ഀ when you think you can’t possibly have any more fun, head over to the਍ഀ Shoals Club from 6PM until 11PM for dancing and costume contests at the਍ഀ Spooky Night Halloween Party, or the S’mores & Ghost Stories Bonfire਍ഀ on the beach!

Cap your incredible spooky Island weekend on਍ഀ November 1 at the Shoals Club for the Oktoberfest Breakfast, from 9:30AM਍ഀ – 11:30AM.
